Two Events at The Brunswick in April

Roy Weard,a member of the committee that runs The Real Music Club has just had his autobiography published. It features stories from the early days of the hippie culture and the free festivals. It also goes on to track his life through several bands and tours with the likes of Pink Floyd, Genesis, Steve Harley, Roger Chapman and many others

We cannot have an evening without Real Music so we have The Deux Johns Orchestra, a free jazz band featuring John Curtis who performed with Roy in Dogwatch in the 1970s. Roy's bandThat Legendary Wooden Lion will also be perfoming. Books will be on sale at the gig

And then we have

William D. Drakeis about to release a new album, 'Revere Reach' and will be making a welcome return to us to play some songs from it. An early member of Cardiacs, he was integral to their early sound and over three solo albums he has developed a unique style of his own.

Occupying the middle slot is Kwil, a folk-pop band which features the songwriting of Gema Hadridge.

Opening the show isFrankie Harper, a singer songwriter who takes his inspiration from many genres
